OmBaked Founder Praises Virginia’s Vape Enforcement Act

Reston, VA - April 2, 2026 - Radhika Murari, founder of OmBaked, a woman-owned, wellness-focused CBD boutique, applauded the passage of the Virginia Vape Enforcement Act, calling it a crucial step to protect youth from unregulated and untested vaping products.

“When I launched OmBaked, I made a deliberate choice: no vape products,” Murari said. “Vapes are among the highest-margin items in this industry, yet I walked away from that revenue because the harm to our children and communities is real and immediate.”

Murari highlighted the risks of vaping products – untested, unregulated, flavored, addictive, and easy for adolescents to access and conceal. “Youth access is rising, nicotine dependence is increasing, and the marketplace is flooded with untested products. This is happening now in our schools and neighborhoods.”

The Virginia Vape Enforcement Act, championed by Attorney General Jay Jones, Sen Adam Ebbin, Sen Schuyler VanValkenburg, and Del Patrick A. Hope, strengthens regulators’ ability to stop illegal and unregulated vape sales to minors.

“As a CBD boutique owner who has always prioritized safety over profit, this legislation is personal,” Murari said.

“The Vape Enforcement Act is a step in the right direction,” Murari added. “It shows that our Commonwealth will always fight for public health, even in the face of well-funded industry pressures. It reinforces that putting people over profit is the foundation of a responsible, trusted cannabis marketplace.”
